Job summary

Shiprocket in Gurugram is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments and improve system reliability.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and strong scripting (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, improve system reliability, and enhance overall engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across environments
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance (SRE practices)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
