Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring for an experienced DevOps Engineer to architect and automate platform solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will lead solution and infrastructure development for large projects, implementing DevSecOps practices and ensuring governance across the lifecycle.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure resources, and collaborate with development teams on deployment strategies. AZ400 certification is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise software on-premises and cloud environments using Microsoft technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Azure services and related DevOps tooling.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and automation across the lifecycle.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Knowledge of Git workflows and branching strategies.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Agile/Scrum experience; AZ400 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Engineer and automate platform solutions
• Lead solution or infrastructure development services for large or complex projects
• Design, develop, deliver, and maintain solutions or infrastructure
• Apply DevSecOps methodologies, standards, and leading practices
• Apply development, security, usability, and product-specific standards
• Ensure quality through manual and automated controls
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions throughout the lifecycle
• Evaluate options and propose tactical and strategic roadmaps
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure as Code tools
• Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, networking, storage, and compute services
• Collaborate with development teams on application deployment and release processes
• Implement and maintain Git source control and branching strategies
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance throughout the DevOps lifecycle
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and performance issues
• Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Maintain technical documentation and promote DevOps best practices

Requirements

• Strong design and hands-on development experience with enterprise software applications for on-premises and cloud environments, primarily using Microsoft technologies
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, and Azure Boards
• Experience in CI/CD implementation and automation
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Knowledge of Git and branching strategies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
