Job summary

DHL IT Services Bengaluru is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Backend Developer) to join the IoT team. You will help shape the technology backbone for DHL’s global logistics platform, contributing to real‑time shipment monitoring and scalable cloud services.

You will work on .NET Core/C#, Azure cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, and MS SQL Server, delivering robust backend solutions with a focus on reliability and performance in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong portfolio.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core and C# development.
• Hands-on on Azure Cloud PaaS, Docker, Kubernetes, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices utilizing Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services as part of the IoT platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver features.
• Implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
• Write clean, testable code and ensure high quality documentation.
• Monitor and optimize performance of micro‑services in Azure.

About the IoT Team

We are a supportive, quality-driven group of tech enthusiasts who strive to improve daily and are eager to assist you on your journey with us! Our global team includes members from India and Germany, collaborating via Microsoft Teams, Jira, and Confluence. We are aiming to provide a platform that accelerates IoT adoption for operational excellence, customer experience, and employee safety. We built a global platform that processes data from millions of connected devices across DHL and are developing modular use cases for real‑time shipment monitoring (e.g., for life science and healthcare shipments) and actionable insights.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer in our IoT team who does both product development and supports existing IoT use case implementations. You will have an opportunity to directly impact customer experience in DHL.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong portfolio of projects
• Excellent problem‑solving skills
• Positive energy and can‑do attitude
• Desire to grow and continuously improve in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong knowledge in .NET Core and C#
• Strong code‑reading skills and knack for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud PaaS services
• Extensive knowledge in Entity Framework Core
• Experience in MS SQL Server
• Very good written and spoken English

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Kubernetes Service
• Thorough understanding of platform responsibilities, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
