Job summary

Randstad India is seeking a senior DevOps professional to design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD platforms across multiple programmes. You will govern repositories, enforce security standards, and lead GitHub migration and workflow standardisation.

The role requires strong Linux, IaC, and scripting skills, plus experience with monitoring and DevSecOps practices. You will collaborate with architects and development teams to optimise build and deployment pipelines for reliable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or related field preferred or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of experience on a 24x7 Cloud or SaaS production operations team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD platforms using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, and other DevOps tools to support software delivery across multiple programmes.
• Define and enforce repository governance, branching strategies, security standards, and CI/CD best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with architects, development teams, and stakeholders to design, implement, and optimise build, release, and deployment pipelines for reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Lead and support GitHub migration initiatives, repository onboarding, workflow standardisation, and developer enablement activities.
• Implement security and compliance integrations, including code quality analysis, secret scanning, dependency management, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, scripting, and IaC solutions to enhance productivity, reduce manual effort, and improve platform reliability.
• Provide CI/CD platform support, troubleshooting, and technical consultation for development teams, ensuring rapid resolution of build, release, and deployment issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, onboarding guides, knowledge articles, and operational procedures to improve self-service capabilities and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business and engineering requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and reusable DevOps solutions.
• Promote modern engineering practices, including DevOps, Agile methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and shift-left security principles.
• Monitor platform health, adoption metrics, and operational performance, driving initiatives that improve developer experience and software delivery efficiency.
• Support cloud, infrastructure, and automation initiatives that enable scalable and resilient software development and deployment environments

Role Competency:

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD platform administration, including workflow automation, repository governance, and build pipeline optimisation.
• Expertise in Linux system administration, shell scripting, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and platform support in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies for provisioning and configuration management.
• Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated build, test, release, and deployment pipelines for cloud and on-premises applications.
• Strong scripting skills using java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate operational tasks, platform management, reporting, and developer enablement activities.
• Experience in GitHub Enterprise administration, repository migrations, access management, branch protection, security controls, and workflow standardisation.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps practices, including SonarQube integration, secret scanning, dependency management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, proxies, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity.
• Experience working with monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, or similar platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex CI/CD, infrastructure, and application delivery issues related to maven Gradle and .Net projects.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams, supporting multiple business units, and driving successful cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong focus on quality, standardisation, security, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Strong planning, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to drive technical initiatives from conception to completion.
• Passion for adopting modern engineering practices, including DevOps, Agile methodologies, developer self-service, automation-first approaches, and continuous improvement.
