NVIDIA Corporation invites applications for a Senior DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join the SW Infra Cloud Infrastructure Team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of OpenStack with Ironic experience, strong PXE knowledge, and expertise with Python and AIDevOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting OpenStack with Ironic.
• Strong knowledge of the PXE process, including host configuration, VLANs, switch port settings, and cabling.
• Familiarity with OpenStack services and their interactions: Nova, Neutron, Glance, Cinder, Ironic.
• Proficiency in using AI DevOps Tools, Python coding.
• Experience with Ansible, GitLab, Jenkins, Grafana, DataDog and ElasticSearch for system configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with OpenStack Ironic, ML2 and Baremetal provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Support OpenStack team operations, developing and supporting OpenStack services and cloud operations.
• Collaborate with SRE, PaaS, image and infrastructure engineers, PMs, and application developers to plan deployments.
• Troubleshoot multi-site OpenStack regional deployments and ensure reliable platform delivery from concept to deployment.

This group works with various other groups within NVIDIA such as Graphics Processors, Mobile Processors, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Driverless Cars to cater to their infrastructure needs. These cloud services provide almost half a million automated jobs per day on thousands of servers helping with the productivity of thousands of NVIDIA's software engineers worldwide. What you'll be doing:

Support OpenStack Team Operations queue working within our Infrastructure and Cloud Operations Environments. Develop and support OpenStack Services and Cloud based operations, monitoring, troubleshooting and assisting triage and resolution of bugs, and KPI investigations. Work closely with world-class SRE, PaaS, Image and Infrastructure engineers, architects, technical product managers and application developers to support code development and setting the best strategies in place for a product launch. Solve sophisticated problems involving multi-site OpenStack Regional Deployments supporting NVIDIA products. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including system engineering, software engineering, mechanical/thermal engineering, operations, data center teams, external vendors, and other partners to successfully deliver a reliable and robust platform from concept to deployments. Directly contribute to the overall quality of deployments and improve time to market for next gen products.

What we need to see:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of relevant experience supporting Openstack with Ironic. Thorough understanding of the PXE process, including host configuration (BIOS and network card), general network configurations such as VLANs, switch port settings, and cabling. Knowledge of services involved in PXE booting, such as DHCP (DNSMASK), TFTP, HTTP, and ISCSI, essential for troubleshooting. Familiarity with OpenStack services and their interactions, including nova, nova placement, Neutron, Glance, Cinder, and Ironic. Ability to troubleshoot across different OpenStack applications, comprehend the OpenStack deployment process, and understand service dependencies and order of operations. Proficiency in using AI DevOps Tools, Python coding. Expertise in supporting third-party services like MySQL, RabbitMQ, CEPH, HaProxy, and Keepalived. Ability to use tools such as Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins, Grafana, DataDog and Elastic Search for successful system configuration and maintenance.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience with Openstack Ironic, ML2 and Baremetal provisioning Familiarity working in large scale R&D/QA environments, for product bring ups. Experience with running OpenStack in Containerized Environment Background with Linux, RHEL, Ansible, Bash and Python. Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible and REST APIs.
