Job summary

Rightpoint is seeking an experienced Java/Python developer to build customer-centric software in a global cross-functional team. You will analyze existing code, estimate feature delivery, and implement REST microservices with Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Hazelcast caching.

You will ensure security, maintain runbooks, and collaborate in a Git-driven workflow with stakeholders across levels.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience with core Java.
• REST Microservice development experience.
• Java/Spring framework expertise.
• Hazelcast or Redis caching experience.
• Mongodb as primary persistence layer.
• Java 8+ and Spring Boot proficiency.
• Python proficiency is mandatory.
• Knowledge of data structures: arrays, lists, trees, graphs.
• NoSQL experience with MongoDB.
• Distributed caching and interservice messaging knowledge.
• Comfort with Agile methodologies.

Role & responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a global cross-functional team in building customer-centric software products.
• Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features.
• Develop software applications using technologies that include and not limited to core Java (11+ ), Kafka or messaging system, Web Frameworks like Struts / Spring, relational (Oracle) and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, etc), with RESTful microservice architecture.
• Implement security and data protection features.
• Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks.
• Collaborating with git in a multi-developer team.
• Appreciation for clean and well documented code.
• Contribution to database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions.
• Establish trusted partnerships with peers, product heads, and executive level stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills

• At least 6+ yearsof relevant professional experience using core Java as a programming language.
• REST Microservice developer.
• Java/Spring.
• Hazelcast for caching layer.
• MongoDB for most of the persistence.
• Java 8 or above (with good experience on steam APIs).
• Spring Boot.
• Python is Mandate
• Some exposure of Python in their exists stack.
• Data structure as Array, List, Tree, Graph.
• No SQL (Mongo DB).
• Distributed Cache (Hazelcast or Redis).
• Aware of Agile methodology.
• RDBMS for some of the persistence (but less frequent).
• Microservices Architecture does interservice communication using a proprietary messaging service.
