Join Autodesk's Developer Advocacy & Support team to advocate for, enable, and support developers building solutions on Autodesk Platform Services (APS) and related Autodesk Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). In this role, you will combine hands‑on engineering, technical content creation, and developer support to accelerate partner and customer success.
You will collaborate with developers, partners, customers, Product Management, and Engineering teams to improve the developer experience, solve technical challenges, and help developers successfully build and integrate solutions using Autodesk technologies.
Create high-quality sample applications, Software Development Kits (SDKs), and reference code that demonstrate engineering best practices
Develop developer-focused content, including tutorials, how-to guides, blog posts, technical documentation, and demonstrations for community programs and events
Provide technical support and issue triage for partners and customers integrating Autodesk Platform Services (APS) APIs
Reproduce technical issues, troubleshoot integration challenges, and coordinate with Engineering teams to drive issues through resolution
Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to influence API design and continuously improve the developer experience
Develop and maintain technical runbooks, onboarding resources, and developer integration workflows
Deliver reference implementations and example code for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients, enabling agents and tools to securely access Autodesk data
Leverage Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to accelerate prototyping, sample development, and documentation while validating outputs for quality, accuracy, security, and maintainability
Share technical knowledge and best practices with developer communities, partners, customers, and internal teams
Gather developer feedback and translate insights into recommendations that improve Autodesk's APIs, documentation, tools, and developer experience
5+ years of software engineering, developer support, developer relations, or other developer-facing experience across web, cloud, or native application development
Hands‑on experience with Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, Software Development Kits (SDKs), and modern web or cloud technology stacks
Demonstrated ability to develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested sample code
Strong understanding of authentication and authorization patterns, including OAuth 2.0 flows, service accounts, and secure integration practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate complex developer integration issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Experience presenting technical content to developer or engineering audiences
Experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, developer support, or partner-facing engineering
Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS), formerly Forge, or familiarity with Autodesk product APIs such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Building Information Modeling (BIM) Automation, or Autodesk Fusion
Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or .NET
Experience with Docker and cloud deployment patterns
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), MCP server and client patterns, or agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration concepts
Experience developing technical tutorials, sample applications, documentation, or other developer enablement resources
Experience engaging with developer communities through technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, or events

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
