Job summary

Algoworks is seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Java and microservices. The candidate will design scalable services, deploy and troubleshoot on Kubernetes, and collaborate with DevOps to automate CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend Java development experience.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.

Role overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Java Developer with strong experience in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Java and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes deployments, REST APIs, Spring Boot and Microsoft SQL Server with extensive experience in writing and optimizing stored procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs following Microservices architecture principles.
• Design loosely coupled, resilient and highly available microservices.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and Triggers.
• Analyze and improve SQL query performance and database indexing strategies.
