Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Designer to execute technical design, drawings, and documentation under the guidance of the Lead Engineer. The role requires coordinating with multiple teams and ensuring high-quality design outputs across disciplines.

Applicants should have 8–15 years in design consultancy or contracting, with strong AutoCAD and Navisworks skills and experience in 3D tools like SmartPlant 3D or REVIT.

Qualifications

• DME/ITI in fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering field.
• 8–15 years experience in design consultancy or contractor (Essential).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks is essential.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools like SmartPlant 3D or REVIT; Auto Pipe/AutoCAD Plant 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Technical Design, drawing and documentation as directed by Lead Engineer.
• Assist in checking drawings prior to submission to Lead Engineer for approval.
• Apply technical knowledge to engineering design to maintain high quality standards.
• Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders.
• Coordinate with team members intra- and inter-disciplinary.
• Prepare project activities: drawings, 3D model, BOQ extraction, clash-free model.
• Adhere to department work instructions and QM manuals.

Your impact

• Designer shall carry out Technical Design, drawing and documentation as directed by Lead Engineer
• Designer shall Assist in the checking of drawing prior to submission to the Lead Engineer for approval.
• Designer shall Apply his technical knowledge to the Engineering Design to ensure that a consistently high standard is maintained.
• Designer Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders.
• Designer shall Co-ordinate with Other team Members Intra disciplinary / interdisciplinary
• Shall Exhibit the Technical Domain knowledge
• Preparation of all Project related activities like, drawing preparation, 3D Model, Review of Drawings and or 3D model, BOQ extraction from 3D model, Clash free model.
• Adherence to Department Work Instruction and QMs Manual

Here's what you'll need

• DME /ITI in fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or any related engineering field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8-15 years Experience in design Consultancy or Contractor (Essential)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks is essential
• Experience with any 3D modeling tool like SmartPlant 3D or REVIT, , Bluebeam, Knowledge of Auto Pipe, Autocad Plant 3D will be an added advantage
