Job summary

Landor is seeking a Senior Designer to join our Global Design studio in Mumbai. You will lead strategically driven packaging concepts and collaborate with Design Directors to balance creativity, brand strategy, and production feasibility.

You will present concepts to clients, mentor junior designers, and ensure consistency across branding, packaging graphics, typography, colour, and structure.

What you'll do:

• Lead the exploration and development of strategically driven packaging concepts, pushing creative boundaries to uncover compelling 'big ideas' that resonate with consumers and support brand growth.Collaborate closely with Design Directors and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative packaging solutions that balance creativity, commercial objectives, and production feasibility.
• Champion design thinking throughout the creative process, evaluating and refining concepts while integrating brand strategy, consumer insights, visual identity, typography, colour, structure, and packaging graphics into cohesive design systems.
• Serve as a trusted creative partner to internal teams and clients, presenting and articulating design rationale with confidence while driving excellence in branding, consumer packaging, and visual communication across all touchpoints.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering creative development, maintaining high design standards, and ensuring consistency and quality across packaging projects.

What you'll need:

• Extensive experience delivering consumer packaging and brand identity projects within a leading branding, design, or packaging agency, with a strong understanding of FMCG and retail categories.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, with the ability to develop compelling packaging concepts and execute designs from ideation through production.
• Strong client-facing, presentation, and communication skills, with the confidence to articulate creative thinking, influence stakeholders, and present packaging solutions effectively.
• A strategic, solutions-driven mindset with a passion for consumer behaviour, innovation, and emerging packaging trends, consistently translating insights into impactful and commercially effective design solutions.
