Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Designer Engineer with deep chip-level design expertise. You will be hands-on from specification through RTL implementation and verification, collaborating with engineers and providing technical leadership within a Touch Controller silicon team.

You will contribute to IP/Touch Controller product definitions, ensure design quality, and help coordinate activities across cross-functional groups while upholding development standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of IC design experience including specification, architecture, RTL coding and verification.
• SystemVerilog experience for design and verification.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work across teams.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and independent contributor as well as team player.

About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Designer Engineer with deep expertise in chip level design to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be hands-on throughout the entire design process, from initial specification and architecture, through RTL implementation and verification. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and contribute technical leadership, while also supporting project coordination and team collaboration. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will become a strong contributor to a highly skilled Touch Controller Silicon development team.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IC design.
• Extensive experience in chip-level design, including specification, architecture, RTL coding and verification.
• Experience in System Verilog for design and verification.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills; able to work effectively across teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Individual contributor as well as a team player.

Preferred

• Programming skills in languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, C, or C++.
• Knowledge in Unix/Linux based operating systems.
• Experience with Synopsys and/or Cadence CAD Tools.
