A leader in risk solutions in Gurugram is seeking a Senior Database Architect who will design and maintain database systems, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in database architecture along with strong communication skills and proficiency in SQL. This role involves working on the FIRCO Continuity Project, contributing to relational database optimization.

Qualifications

  • Experience in database architecture, administration, or a related role (typically 3+ years).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling and schema design.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and monitoring tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Relational Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL (in development).
  • Scripting: Linux and Windows environments.
  • Monitoring Tools and Cloud Deployment.
  • NoSQL databases (experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture based on user needs, maintain schemas, and support deployment strategies.
  • Guide developers on best practices, review SQL code, and implement patches.
  • Set up environments, analyze performance, and tune queries and systems.
  • Investigate and resolve database-related issues in production and implementation projects.
  • Install, configure, and optimize internal databases for engineering and support teams.
