Job summary

Tech Data seeks a Senior Data Security Specialist to implement and manage global data security solutions, leading technical resources in cross‑functional IT security projects. The role focuses on improving data protection, identity and access management, threat hunting, and cloud/on‑prem data access control.

The incumbent will develop processes for data categorization, collaborate with application security, and train support teams while delivering analytics and KPI reporting to ensure strong

• Bachelor's degree in IT field required.

Job Purpose

The Senior Data Security Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing data security technology solutions globally. Leads or serves as experienced technical resource in multi-discipline IT security projects intended to continually improve the data security and operating procedures. Keeps abreast of the latest Data security technologies and identifies opportunities to leverage them to improve TD SYNNEX's data protection. The responsibilities include reviewing our current data security measures and processes in all geographies TD SYNNEX operates in, identifying and addressing areas of weakness through investigation and cross business participation. Continuously improves core processes in data security and ensures that identity & access management, threat hunting and analysis are completed for data access, both on-premise and in the cloud. Documents operating procedures and run books and trains the support team(s).

Continuously improves core processes in data security and ensures that identity & access management, threat hunting and analysis are completed for data access, both on-premise and in the cloud. Documents operating procedures and run books and trains the support team(s).

Responsibilities

• Technical implementation, enhancement and ongoing support for data security technologies like DLP (30%)
• Execute and continually improve core data security processes such as threat analysis, and data monitoring and control of data access (20%)
• Develop processes for the categorizations of data and access controls to the data for both Structured and Unstructured data. Utilize learnings to improve capabilities and automation (20%)
• Work with the application security team to develop joint processes for Data orchestration and Data improvements for team efficiency, documentation and training (20%)
• Develop and deliver Data analytics and KPI reporting for ensuring operational effectiveness and controls health (10%)

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree with IT field of study required.
• 8 to 10 Years of relevant work experience
• Experience of using AI services in Data Security.
• Other Education / Certifications: selection of security and technology certifications and/or equivalent proven work experience
• Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
• Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
• Able to converse and write effectively in English and local language.
• Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of management

Working Conditions

• Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
• On-call availability required as necessary.
