Job summary

WM is seeking a Data Scientist in Gurgaon to join the analytics team. The role involves data preparation, exploratory analysis, and basic model development under guidance, with opportunities to work on real-world problems alongside business and technical teams.

The ideal candidate should have 4–6 years of data science experience, a strong foundation in statistics and ML concepts, and hands-on skills in Python/R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field with 4-6 years of exposure and experience in data science workflow.
• Owns medium-complexity ML/data projects end-to-end, drives experimentation, model tuning, and impact measurement, translates business problems into analytical solutions & mentors junior scientists.

Responsibilities

• Perform data cleaning, validation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
• Develop basic statistical and machine learning models with supervision
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze data
• Create standard reports, dashboards, and visualizations
• Assist in feature engineering and model testing

This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build strong fundamentals in data science. The ideal candidate will assist in data preparation, analysis, and model development while collaborating with business and technical teams to solve real-world problems using data.

Required Skills & Qualifications
