Job summary

JMAN Group in Chennai, India, is seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to build and deploy advanced analytics models at scale. You will mentor junior scientists, align data work with business goals, and drive data quality across the modelling lifecycle.

The role requires 4+ years in data science and 3+ years of people leadership, with hands-on skills in ML platforms (Vertex AI, SageMaker) and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI). This is a full-time role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Science/Analytics.
• 3+ years of proven experience in a managerial or people-leadership role, managing multiple direct reports or sub-teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models.
• Act as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring high-quality solution delivery.
• Mentor junior scientists on coding standards, experimental design, and model ethics.
• Audit data quality and process integrity across the entire modelling lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientist.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in data science.
• Establish the CI/CD pipelines for machine learning, automating the transition from research to production.
