S&P Global, Inc. is seeking a Data Quality Specialist to ensure accurate, complete, and product-ready data across multiple datasets. You will perform deep validations, contribute to validation frameworks, and drive root-cause analysis with data producers and stewards.
The role emphasizes creating actionable insights through dashboards, mentoring Level 1 specialists, and improving quality controls while aligning with SOPs and SLAs across teams.

Role Scope The Data Quality Specialist is an individual contributor responsible for ensuring accurate, complete, and product ready data across multiple datasets. The role goes beyond routine checks to perform deeper trend and pattern analysis, identifying systemic quality issues and recurring failure points. It contributes to the design and improvement of data quality processes, controls, and validation frameworks. The specialist supports cross-dataset validations and works closely with data producers, data stewards, and partner teams to drive effective root cause analysis and remediation. By strengthening standards, improving detection, and enabling consistent execution, the role plays a critical part in enhancing data reliability and trust for downstream products, analytics, and operational use.
Maintain assigned KPIs. Collaborate with Ops and Steward to deliver high-quality root-cause analysis (RCA) with clear and actionable insights. Demonstrate consistent anomaly detection volume, identifying meaningful patterns early. Show reduction in client-reported errors through improved data checks and issue prevention. Contribute to closure of process gaps and adoption of quality-by-design improvements that reduce recurring defects.
2+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, or data operations roles, with demonstrated exposure to multi-dataset quality assessment and advanced validation techniques.
