Job summary

Tiger Analytics is seeking a Senior Data Engineer specialized in Snowflake to design and deliver scalable data warehouse solutions. You will balance individual contributions with mentoring teams, building ingestion pipelines and analytics models.

You will collaborate across business units, implement Snowflake best practices, migrate from on‑prem or other clouds, and integrate with DBT and other modern tools. Office presence five days a week in Chennai is required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years designing and implementing full-scale data warehouse solutions with production pipelines.
• Strong understanding of public cloud architectures and Snowflake in DW/BI analytics use cases.
• Senior/Lead developer experience on analytics projects with Snowflake delivery.
• Experience migrating data from on-premises or other clouds to Snowflake.
• Knowledge of delivery methodologies and leading teams in solution implementation.
• Experience with migration, DevOps, ETL/ELT, and BI; Snowflake design patterns.
• Familiarity with Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Streams) and security concepts.
• Ability to integrate Snowflake with DBT and the modern data stack; Python framework design.
• Strong accountability for self and team deliverables.

Role & responsibilities

As a SeniorData Engineer Snowflake you will work to solve some of the most complex and captivating data management problems that would enable them as a data-driven organization; Seamlessly switch between roles of an Individual Contributor, team member, and Data Engineer as demanded by each project to define, design, and deliver actionable insights.

Typically, you might

• Create a solution utilizing Snowflake's native capabilities and put cloud architectures and data platforms into practice.
• Work as a team to address complex issues; strategic planning; thought leadership; and direction for the Snowflake practice.
• Design and implement effective Analytics solutions and models with Snowflake.
• Examine and identify Datawarehouse structural necessities by evaluating business

requirements.

• Assess Datawarehouse implementation procedures to ensure they comply with

internal and external regulations.

• Create detailed data warehouse design, and architecture reports for management & executive teams and make recommendations for improving new and existing Datawarehouse solutions.
• Educate staff members through training and individual support, and aid by responding quickly to system problems.
• Understand and document data flows in and between different systems/applications and guide developers in preparing functional/technical specs to define reporting requirements and ETL process.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7-10 years of experience designing and implementing a full-scale data warehouse solution by building productionized data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Adept understanding of Public Cloud architectures and good Snowflake implementation experience in DW/BI/Analytics use cases.
• As a Senior or Lead Developer on Analytics solutions, real-time experience in completing 2 Snowflake projects from start to finish.
• Enjoys providing technical data solutions for all Snowflake business problems and helping with the data migration from on-premises or another cloud database/data warehouse to Snowflake.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
• Profound knowledge of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT, and BI is required, and the ability to work in Snowflake design patterns and migration architectures is a major plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Snowflake capabilities such as Snow pipe, STREAMS, and Snowflake architecture and be aware of Snowflake roles and user security.
• Enthuse to work in Implementation in integrating Snowflake with DBT and other modern data stack tools as well as a strong understanding of Python for framework design.
• Loves to take accountability for the individual and team members deliverables.
