Job summary

Point72 is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for its Proprietary Research team in Bengaluru. You will design and build data pipelines, develop reusable components, and implement governance to ensure compliant, AI-ready data assets for investment professionals.

You will lead multi-disciplinary collaboration with research, data science, and compliance while deploying scalable cloud infrastructure and AI-enabled workflows to drive business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data/Software Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years Python development experience.
• Experience in system design and leading multi-contributor projects.
• Strong knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark.
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms for data storage and compute (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow).
• Exposure to LangGraph, LangChain, embedding models, vector databases or graph databases.
• Strong interest in staying current with AI advancements and applying techniques to real-world use cases.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• 1. 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• 2. 2+ years of strong hands-on Python development experience.


• Experience in system design and leading development efforts involving multiple contributors.


• Strong knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark.


• Experience building scalable APIs, backend infrastructure, and software applications.


• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services for data storage and compute, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.


• Experience with workflow orchestration technologies such as Airflow.


• Exposure to LangGraph, LangChain, embedding models, vector databases, or graph databases is a plus.


• Strong interest in staying current with AI advancements and applying emerging techniques to real-world use cases.
