Confidential Search in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – BI Analytics & Data Warehousing with 6–9 years of experience to develop scalable data infrastructure and efficient pipelines powering BI and analytics.

You will work across data ingestion, transformation, warehousing and analytics enablement, ensuring data is reliable, accessible and optimised for business use.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development and data modelling.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake or Redshift.
• Exposure to cloud and data engineering technologies: AWS S3, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Lambda functions.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting and data manipulation.
• Basic understanding of JSON, Parquet and CSV.
• Exposure to Power BI or Tableau will be an advantage.

The Opportunity / Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer – BI Analytics & Data Warehousing to contribute to the development of scalable data infrastructure and efficient data pipelines that power business intelligence and analytics.

The role will suit a hands‑on Data Engineering professional with 6–9 years of experience across ETL/ELT development, data modelling, SQL and database engineering.

You will work across data ingestion, transformation, warehousing and analytics enablement, helping ensure that data is reliable, accessible and optimised for business use.

Roles & Responsibilities

ETL / ELT Development

• Design, build and maintain efficient ETL and ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Ensure reliable ingestion of data from multiple sources into centralised data warehouses and data lakes.

Data Modelling & Warehousing

• Design relational and dimensional data models aligned with business and analytical requirements.
• Develop and maintain data models optimised for analytics and reporting.
• Work with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift and PostgreSQL.

Database Engineering

• Develop efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data transformation, cleansing and aggregation.
• Work with complex joins and analytical workloads while supporting data and query performance.

BI & Analytics Support

• Support reporting and dashboard development using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts and business users to understand reporting requirements and enable self-service analytics.

Performance & Data Quality

• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and warehouse processes.
• Implement appropriate data-quality checks and validations to ensure accurate and timely data availability.
