Qualifications

• Production experience with large MPP platforms and cloud data warehouses (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Hive, Redshift, or SQL Server).
• Strong background in ingesting, mapping, and reconciling structured and unstructured data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Customer Experience (CX) team in Bangalore. In this role, you will lead the development and enhancement of our cloud-based operational data lakehouse to drive high-impact analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives. You will design ETL pipelines, write complex database queries, optimize data storage, and collaborate directly with cross-functional stakeholders to transform raw operational data into actionable business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL & Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Talend, Python, and SQL to ingest datasets from diverse internal and external platforms.
• Data Lakehouse Architecture: Architect and optimize data models, storage structures, and federated querying foundations within cloud platforms such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Hive, or Redshift.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with Product Managers, Business Analysts, BI Developers, and Data Scientists to conduct exploratory data analysis, investigate operational trends, and answer ad-hoc business queries.
• Data Quality & Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive data profiling, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and reconciliation using SQL to maintain enterprise-grade data quality and reliability.
• Analytics Foundation: Develop complex analytical queries and dataset foundations to enable daily operational activities, executive dashboards, and federated querying for business teams.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in ETL development, complex data pipeline design, and data mapping validation.
• ETL Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience using Talend for data integration and pipeline engineering.
• Programming & SQL: Mastery of advanced SQL for complex querying, data profiling, and reconciliation, paired with strong Python skills for data processing and transformation.
• Cloud Data Warehousing: Production experience with large MPP platforms and cloud data warehouses, such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Hive, Redshift, or SQL Server.
• Data Integration: Strong background in ingesting, mapping, and reconciling structured and unstructured data from external sources.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts and insights to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Big Data processing and orchestration experience using Databricks.
• Hands‑on experience developing business reports and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to Data Science, Machine Learning, or Generative AI projects.
• Practical experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
