Quantiphi is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on Azure Synapse for Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Trivandrum locations. You will design and deliver robust big data pipelines across geographies, leveraging Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and related services to support healthcare data initiatives.

The role requires strong SQL, Python/PySpark, and hands-on data engineering experience with cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark.
• Experience building Big Data solutions on cloud platforms (migration, storage, processing).
• Experience in production-scale systems.
• ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
• Deep expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics and related data services.

Responsibilities

• Azure Synapse Expertise: develop utilities for migration, storage, and processing using Synapse Analytics.
• Design cloud migration strategy for cloud and on-premise apps, with strong Azure integration.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems problems in Azure, optimizing at scale.
• Ingest and process terabytes to petabytes per day, optimizing performance and cost in Synapse.
• Design next-generation storage and compute solutions for large customers using Synapse.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Engineering, DevOps, SiteOps, and cloud customers for delivery.
• Build tooling for automation, testing, monitoring, administration, and data operations across Synapse workspaces.
