Job summary

InfoCepts is seeking an Azure Synapse Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions for the Saint-Gobain Mobility business using Azure Synapse, Snowflake, dbt, and SQL.

The role focuses on building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, modernizing the data platform, and enabling reliable analytics and reporting through scalable data workflows across Nagpur and other offices in India.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL development including complex queries, joins, CTEs, DDL/DML, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated SQL Pool & Synapse Pipelines).
• Experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT solutions.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of dbt (Data Build Tool).
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Azure DevOps experience for version control and deployment management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, data models, and processing workflows to improve performance and reliability.

Position: Azure Synapse Data Engineer

Purpose of the Position:Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data engineering solutions for the Saint-Gobain Mobility business using Azure Synapse, Snowflake, dbt, and SQL. The role is responsible for building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, supporting data platform modernization initiatives, and enabling reliable analytics and reporting through scalable data solutions

Location: Nagpur, Pune. Chennai and Bengaluru

Type of Employment: Full-time

Key Result Areas and Activities:

1: Data Pipeline Development- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics.

2:Data Platform Optimization- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, data models, and processing workflows to improve performance and reliability.

3:Cloud Data Engineering- Manage data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes using Azure Synapse, ADLS, and Snowflake.

4:Migration & Modernization- Support Synapse-to-Snowflake/dbt migration activities, ensuring successful implementation and data integrity.

5: Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance- Collaborate with business and technical teams, follow Agile practices, maintain documentation, and support delivery governance

Roles and Responsibilities

Essential Skills:

• Strong SQL development including complex queries, joins, CTEs, DDL/DML, and query optimization.

Work Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Proven experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and modern data warehousing technologies.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Relevant Azure or Snowflake certifications will be an added advantage.
