Job summary

SRS Infoway is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Pune to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and Python applications. This role requires coordinating with distributed teams across time zones and a client-facing posture.

You'll drive data processing frameworks, leverage Python libraries, and optimize SQL databases while integrating DevOps practices via CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git. Expect cloud-native workflows on AWS and Azure Databricks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Senior Data Engineer role with leadership expectations.
• Experience coordinating across distributed/global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines, data processing frameworks, and enterprise-grade Python applications.
• Provide technical leadership in Python development, including automation, data processing, and integration workflows.
• Drive agile delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams under Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Work with Python and data-centric libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, pdfplumber, and Requests.
• Architect and optimize SQL queries and database solutions, with strong proficiency in relational data stores, data modelling and design.
• Integrate DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and ensure smooth deployment of data solutions.
• Develop and manage cloud-based data workflows on platforms such as AWS, Airflow, and Azure Databricks.
• Exposure to Generative AI and proficiency in GenAI tools.

Location: bp Pune office with minimum 3 days per week in the bp office.

• Excellent communicator and experience of working in distributed geographical teams. Previous experience of working in a client facing role is advantageous.
• Coordinate effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines, data processing frameworks, and enterprisegrade Python applications.
