Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer – Data & Anaplan to design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration pipelines supporting Anaplan and enterprise data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, APIs, cloud data platforms, and Anaplan data integrations. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, Anaplan model builders, data architects, and BI teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions for planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting Anaplan and enterprise data platforms.
• Develop integrations between Anaplan and enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, Finance, Supply Chain, and other business systems.
• Build automated data ingestion and transformation processes using Python, SQL, and ETL tools.
• Develop and support Anaplan data integration workflows for inbound and outbound data movement.
• Work with Anaplan integration technologies such as Anaplan Connect, REST APIs, and Anaplan Integration APIs.
• Extract data from enterprise systems and transform it into formats required by Anaplan models.
• Automate data loads, exports, imports, reconciliations, and validation processes.
• Develop data quality checks and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure accuracy between source systems and Anaplan.
• Troubleshoot data integration failures, pipeline issues, and data discrepancies.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Anaplan Model Builders, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers to understand integration requirements.
• Support planning and forecasting processes across areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Workforce, and Demand Planning.
• Build reusable frameworks and integration components following enterprise engineering standards.
• Maintain technical documentation for data flows, integrations, mappings, dependencies, and operational processes.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, release management, and production support.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for critical data pipelines and Anaplan integrations.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and version-control practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data engineering best practices.

Required Technical Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, Data Integration, or related technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Anaplan data integration.
• Experience with Anaplan Connect and/or Anaplan APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development.

• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, CSV, XML, and data exchange mechanisms.
