Job summary

Idexcel is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Bangalore to drive OT data ingestion, integration and industrial data modeling. The role focuses on Inmation and PI systems, DCS/ECS engineering, and OT/IT interfaces to support commissioning and operations.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in Oil & Gas or industrial domains, hands-on experience with engineering systems, and familiarity with ISA95. Immediate joining is required; relocation to Bangalore is not required.

Qualifications

• Strong Oil & Gas / industrial domain experience.
• Hands on expertise with DCS/ECS (engineering and commissioning) and PLC.
• Integrate OT data sources via OPC UA / OPC DA and OT/IT interfaces.
• Knowledge of ISA95 standard is beneficial.
• Experience working with OT DCS/PLC vendors.

Responsibilities

• Engineer OT data ingestion and integration using AspenTech Inmation.
• Integrate OT data sources via OPC UA / OPC DA and OT/IT interfaces.
• Design and maintain industrial time series data models (Inmation, PI).
• Configure and manage IIDF connectors and Inmation adapters.
• Develop LUA scripts for data processing, transformation, and automation.
• Support project engineering activities (RFM, implementation delivery).
• Ensure OT cybersecurity compliance, access control, and data governance.
• Enable operational visualization via Data Studio and large screen displays.
