Job summary

Adobe in Bengaluru is seeking a Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will work with SAP BODS, SnapLogic, SQL/PLSQL, Azure Databricks, Python, and BI tools to deliver data-driven insights and AI-enabled capabilities.

The role requires 10+ years in data engineering, strong ETL and SQL skills, and experience with Azure data services. You will collaborate across teams to empower analytics and drive business impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data analytics/engineering.
• Hands-on with ETL tools SAP BODS and SnapLogic.
• Advanced SQL/PLSQL and query optimization.
• Experience with on-prem databases: Microsoft SQL Server and SAP HANA Analytics.
• Cloud exposure to Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools or integrating AI into data products.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/IS.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SAP BODS and SnapLogic.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL/PL/SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and reporting.
• Architect and implement data solutions on Microsoft Azure, including Databricks and Azure data services.
• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboarding solutions using BI tools.
• Write clean Python code for data processing, automation, and pipeline orchestration.
• Contribute to AI/ML-enabled features to enhance analytics capabilities.

What you'll Do

• Build, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as SAP BODS and SnapLogic.
• Develop and improve complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Architect and implement data solutions on Microsoft Azure, bringing to bear Azure Databricks and Azure data services for scalable pipelines and analytics.
• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboarding solutions using BI/reporting tools.
• Write clean, efficient Python code for data processing, automation, and pipeline orchestration.
• Compose and build AI/ML-enabled tools and features to improve analytics capabilities.

What you need to succeed

• 10+ years of experience in data analytics/data engineering.
• Solid practical experience with ETL tools - SAP BODS and SnapLogic.
• Advanced expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including query optimization.
• Proven expertise in on-prem databases - Microsoft SQL Server and SAP HANA Analytics.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data engineering.
• Experience with reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Demonstrated exposure to building AI/ML tools or integrating AI capabilities into data products.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Preferred qualifications: Experience with Delta Lake, Spark, modern data stack tools, familiarity with LLMs, ML pipelines, and relevant certifications.
