Sandoz is seeking a Global Senior Data Architect to define and own the strategic data architecture for Global Development and Portfolio & Pipeline. You will govern data modelling, integration, governance, and quality to enable scalable, compliant data foundations across the organization.

In this hybrid role based in India, you will lead architectural reviews, guide data engineers and stewards, ensure alignment with IDMP, EMA, SPOR, GxP and GDPR standards, and drive data initiatives that support

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive enterprise data architecture, data modelling, and governance experience.
• Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large domains.
• Experience implementing data integration and master data management strategies.
• Knowledge of pharma/regulatory data domains (IDMP, EMA, SPOR, GDPR).

Senior Data Architect - Data Management, Analytics, DS&AI

As a Global Senior Data Architect for Global Development, Portfolio & Pipeline (GDPP), you will define and own the strategic data architecture that supports critical business processes across Global Development and Portfolio & Pipeline. You will act as the technical authority for enterprise data modelling, integration, governance, and quality, ensuring a scalable, standardized, and compliant data foundation that enables business growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, own, and continuously evolve the conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the Global Development and Portfolio & Pipeline domain.
• Define and maintain a unified domain data model, ensuring consistency across multiple source systems and business functions.
• Lead data discovery, source profiling, and data-modelling workshops with business stakeholders to identify and standardize critical business entities.
• Establish and optimize data integration architecture, including data flows, system interoperability, and source-to-target transformation strategies.
• Define and drive enterprise decisions regarding authoritative data ownership, mastering, and system accountability across the domain.
• Ensure alignment with Sandoz enterprise data standards, master data definitions, and regulatory frameworks including IDMP, EMA, and SPOR standards.
• Design and implement data governance controls covering GxP, GDPR, data classification, data quality, and integrity requirements throughout the data lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to data engineers, analytics engineers, data stewards, and cross-functional delivery teams.

KPI:

• Adoption and compliance of the GDPP data model, standards, and governance framework across business and technology initiatives.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in enterprise data architecture, data modelling, and data governance within complex global organizations.
• Strong expertise in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large-scale business domains.
• Proven experience defining and implementing enterprise data integration and master data management strategies.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical, clinical development, regulatory, or life sciences data domains.
• Experience working with industry regulatory standards such as IDMP, EMA, SPOR, GxP, and GDPR requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across decentralized teams and multiple business functions.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and establishing enterprise-wide data modelling standards and best practices.

Essential Skills:

Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.

Languages:

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and enterprise analytics ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, semantic modelling, and emerging enterprise data architecture methodologies.
