Data Analyst, Power BI
Lionbridge is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Power BI responsible for the development, support, and governance of Power BI reporting solutions across IT and business operations, ensuring reliable, accurate, and scalable dashboards for stakeholders worldwide.
The Senior Data Analyst will own the day-to-day health of the Power BI reporting environment, build new dashboards from raw and structured data sources, and drive governance standards across the reporting landscape. This role requires strong technical proficiency in Power BI, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with shifting priorities.
What You Will Do:
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards from raw data sources (e.g., ticketing systems, DevOps pipelines) through to production-ready deliverables.
- Own daily refresh monitoring and operational support across all Power BI reports, triaging and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Lead migration and modernization of legacy dashboards to current reporting frameworks and standards.
- Manage the Power BI report intake process, including requirements gathering, dataflow design, and multi-sprint implementation for new report requests.
- Own the Azure DevOps-to-Power BI/IT reporting pipeline, including issue triage, recurring status communications, and ongoing enhancements.
- Build and iterate on defect-management and operational reporting for engineering/support teams (e.g., L2/L3 teams).
- Establish and enforce Power BI governance standards, including workspace management, access controls, naming conventions, and report lifecycle practices.
- Respond to and resolve Power BI Premium Capacity incidents, including coordination with Microsoft support for critical outages.
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests from stakeholders across departments and client accounts.
- Maintain client-specific dashboards and reporting deliverables as needed.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI governance practices, including workspace administration, capacity management, and data security.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and integrating operational/engineering data into BI reporting.
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with stakeholder-facing status reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience troubleshooting Power BI Premium Capacity issues, including vendor support case management, is a plus.
