Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in India is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to translate complex health data into actionable insights. You will lead cross-functional collaboration, build dashboards, and drive data-driven decision making across cost, quality, and growth initiatives.

The role involves structuring analyses, partnering with COE stakeholders, and delivering executive-ready insights with clear business impact. Experience with Power BI/Tableau and cloud analytics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare analytics.
• Experience building dashboards or data products (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience quantifying business impact (ROI, cost savings, revenue growth).
• Exposure to cloud-based data/analytics platforms and infra services (Azure, Databricks).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Apply structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving to translate business questions into analytical approaches and clear insights
• Analyze complex, multi-source healthcare data to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities for improvement across cost, quality, and growth
• Synthesize findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations with a solid "so what" and quantified business impact
• Partner with stakeholders in a matrixed COE environment to shape problem statements, align on priorities, and drive adoption of insights
• Communicate insights through compelling storytelling tailored to executive and operational audiences
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for optimization
• Support end-to-end analytical delivery, including data exploration, feature engineering, model development (as applicable), and results interpretation
• Collaborate with data engineering and data platform teams to ensure data availability, quality, and usability for analytics use cases
• Contribute to development of reusable analytical assets, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across the COE
• Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned to business context, with clear assumptions and limitations
• Continuously improve analytic approaches, streamline processes, and reduce low-value or redundant work
• Support the development of data-driven decision making by educating stakeholders and promoting evidence-based practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare analytics (claims, financial, or operational data)
• Experience building dashboards or data products (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Experience identifying and quantifying business impact (ROI, cost savings, revenue growth)
• Exposure to cloud-based data and analytics platforms and infra services. (Azure, Databricks, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of recommendations
• Demonstrated solid storytelling and presentation skills, particularly for executive audiences
• Demonstrated desire to continuously learn, challenge assumptions, and improve how analytics drives business outcomes
