Job summary

Optum India is seeking an experienced data engineering professional to design and deploy AI-powered solutions using Python, Spark, Scala, and Azure Databricks. You will work on streaming pipelines with Kafka, implement CI/CD, and collaborate across teams to translate business needs into scalable applications.

The role demands strong analytical and communication skills, experience with NoSQL databases, and familiarity with Agile tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of experience with Python, PySpark, and Scala.
• 5+ years experience with Azure Databricks.
• 3+ years working with MS SQL Server and NoSQL databases (Cassandra).
• Hands-on with streaming apps (Kafka, Spark Streaming).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with Agile tooling (Rally).

Primary Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree
• 7+ years of working experience in Python, Pyspark, Scala
• 5+ years of working experience in Azure Databricks
• 3+ years of experience working on MS Sql Server and NoSQL DBs like Cassandra, etc.
• Hands on experience in the Streaming application (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.)
• Proven ability to understand the existing application codebase, perform impact analysis and update the code when required based on the business logic or for optimization
• Proven exposure to following DevOps methodology and creating CI/CD deployment pipeline
• Proven exposure to following Agile methodology specifically using tools like Rally
• Proven excellent Analytical and Communication skills (Both Verbal and Written)
