Senior Credit Research Analyst – Financial Modelling
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Credit Research Analyst to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in credit research, credit assessment, financial modeling, credit rating, and counterpart risk assessment. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent research skills, and the ability to produce detailed and accurate reports.
Responsibilities
- Credit Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of companies and sectors to assess creditworthiness.
- Credit Research & Analysis: Analyze financial statements, market data, industry trends, and economic factors affecting credit risk.
- Credit Assessment: Evaluate the credit quality of potential and existing counterparties.
- Credit Assessment: Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments to determine credit ratings.
- Credit Assessment: Develop credit risk profiles and identify key risk factors.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to project future performance and assess financial health.
- Financial Modeling: Use financial models to simulate different scenarios and their impact on creditworthiness.
- Credit Rating: Assign and monitor internal credit ratings based on established methodologies.
- Credit Rating: Prepare comprehensive credit rating reports and present findings to senior management.
- Counterpart Risk Assessment: Conduct counterpart risk assessments, including the evaluation of financial and non-financial risks.
- Counterpart Risk Assessment: Monitor counterparties for changes in credit quality and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed credit reports, research notes, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Reporting: Ensure all reports are accurate, well-organized, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other analysts, portfolio managers, and risk management teams to share insights and recommendations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in credit research, assessment, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit rating methodologies, and risk assessment techniques.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial databases).
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with credit rating agencies or financial institutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to credit risk.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent.
