Job summary

TING in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India seeks an experienced copywriter/content marketer to craft engaging content across website, email, social, and ads.

You will own 4-5 brands, collaborate with designers, mentor juniors, and ensure accuracy and brand voice. 4-5 years experience required; Tamil proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of copywriting or content marketing experience with a strong portfolio.
• Strong understanding of content marketing on social media, SEO, and digital marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write in various styles.
• Attention to detail; proofreading/editing own work and others'.
• Experience collaborating with designers and marketing managers.
• Proficient in English and Tamil; Hindi or other languages a bonus.

Job description

• Develop and execute creative and effective content strategies for brands across all channels, including website, email, social media, and advertising


• Write and edit website copy, blog articles, product descriptions, email marketing campaigns, social media posts, and advertising copy that is engaging, informative, and aligned with our brand voice and tone


• Collaborate with visualizers, art directors, and other cross‑functional team members to develop and execute on‑brand campaigns and initiatives


• Conduct research and stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices to inform content creation and strategy


• Ensure all content is accurate, error‑free, and meets brand and style guidelines


• Review and provide feedback on content created by other team members


• Mentor and provide guidance to junior copywriters and other team members, as needed


• Present concepts/ideas to brands as per briefs and ensure that the feedback is incorporated


• Ability to delegate tasks efficiently to junior team members


• Ability to work on 3-5 brands simultaneously

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field


• 4-5 years of experience in copywriting or content marketing, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates exceptional writing skills and creativity


• Strong understanding of content marketing on social media, SEO, and digital marketing best practices


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write in a variety of styles and formats


• Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit own work and the work of others


• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketing managers


• Can speak, read and write in English, Tamil [Hindi and other languages would be an advantage]
