Job summary

The New Indian Express Group’s Cinema Express division seeks a Senior Content Editor to lead editorial storytelling across print and digital platforms, anchoring shows and conducting celebrity interviews.

You will oversee content quality, drive deadlines, and mentor junior editors in a fast-paced newsroom, with opportunities across Hyderabad, Kochi and Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
• 3–5 years of content editing and digital/print journalism.
• Excellent written and verbal English; strong editorial and proofreading skills.
• Experience anchoring shows or editorial video content.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Editorial team to define content requirements and vision.
• Write, edit, and proof content for print and digital platforms.
• Develop engaging headlines and ensure accuracy and editorial standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Senior / Content Editor to join our editorial team. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing high-quality editorial content for entertainment while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the highest journalistic standards. You will also be responsible for anchoring shows, conducting interviews, and contributing to engaging entertainment content across print and digital platforms.

To ensure success, you should have excellent command over the English language, strong editorial judgment, exceptional storytelling abilities, and experience in entertainment journalism. Ultimately, a top-notch Senior Content Editor should be able to produce compelling content, meet editorial deadlines, and contribute to the organization's editorial vision.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in content editing, digital/print journalism.
• Strong background in digital.
• Experience covering the entertainment industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
• Strong editorial, proofreading, and content management skills.
• Experience in anchoring shows or editorial video content.
• Ability to conduct interviews confidently with celebrities and industry professionals.
