Job summary

Joinimagine is seeking a Senior Consultant- Solution Design to analyze multifaceted information and design cost-effective, operationally feasible logistics solutions for customers in Karnataka, India.

You will liaise with DHL customers and BD teams, gather requirements, model and present solutions, and guide projects to improve current operations. A engineering degree and 8–12 years in logistics design or 12+ years in logistics operations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in logistics solution design or 12+ years in logistics operations management.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Consulting experience desirable.
• Experience with modelling, simulation and CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with DHL customers and BD staff to understand supply chain requirements.
• Provide analysis and design support for new business, implementations, and re-engineering.
• Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations.
• Determine optimal logistics operating solutions for customers.
• Utilize software tools for developing, modelling, evaluating, and selecting solution options.
• Outline solutions in formats for customer presentations and participate in presentations.
• Manage consultancy projects as needed.
• Provide guidance to subordinates in complex solutions design.
• Support continuous improvement activities for current operations.
• Act as the internal focal point for access to Logistics Solutions expertise.
• Develop effective customer presentations as part of pursuit teams.

Senior Consultant- Solution Design

Job Scope:
To analyze multifaceted information and design cost-effective, operationally feasible solutions to meet customer requirements while supporting operations in re-engineering current processes to maintain cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with DHL customers and business development staff to understand customer supply chain requirements.

• Provide analysis and design support for new business, operational implementations, and re-engineering initiatives.

• Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations.

• Determine optimal logistics operating solutions for customers.

• Utilize appropriate software tools for developing, modelling, evaluating, and selecting solution options.

• Clearly outline solutions in appropriate formats for customer presentations and participate in these presentations as required.

• Manage consultancy projects as needed.

• Provide guidance to subordinates in complex solutions design.

• Support continuous improvement activities for current operations.

• Act as the internal focal point for access to Logistics Solutions expertise.

• Develop effective customer presentations of the appropriate solutions as part of pursuit teams.

Experience & Qualification

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of logistics solution design experience or 12+ years of logistics operations management in warehousing or transport.

• Consulting experience is desirable.

• Degree in a relevant discipline (engineering degree preferred).

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of warehousing, transportation, and broader supply chain topics.

• Strong knowledge of the logistics business.

• Advanced computer proficiency.

• Understanding of modelling/simulation/CAD tools such as Paragon, CAPS, CAST, AutoCAD, or CLASS (desirable).

• Knowledge of process flow diagrams and time & motion studies.

• Strong analytical skills.
