Job summary

The Hackett in India is seeking an experienced SAP MM/S/4HANA consultant to lead a comprehensive implementation project. You will set up the material management structure, configure purchase organizations, valuation areas, storage locations and warehouse structures, and drive master data templates and testing.

You will also own GST processes, release procedures, and seamless cross‑module integration with PP/SD/FI/CO.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 2 S4HANA implementation projects in SAP MM CIN.
• Extensive GST process experience and knowledge of Indian tax procedures.
• Proven procurement, inventory, logistics invoicing verification, and cross-module integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up organizational structure for material management and configure purchase org, valuation areas, storage locations, and warehouse structure.
• Finalize material groups, purchasing groups, payment terms, Incoterms, and pricing procedures.
• Define ranges for material/vendor masters and purchasing/inventory documents.
• Configure release procedures for purchase requisition and purchase orders.
• Prepare testing documents and conduct internal testing.
• Create master data templates for material/vendor/excise masters, info-records, source lists, and POs.
• Coordinate integration testing with PP, SD, and FI/CO.
• Prepare cutover strategy for MM objects.
• Prepare user manuals and provide training to business process owners.
• Go-live preparation and post go-live support.

Job description

Implementation Project

1. Setting up organization structure of material management and relevant configuration like Purchase organization, valuation area plants, storage location, and warehouse structure etc.


2. Finalization of material groups, purchasing groups, payment terms, Inco terms, Pricing Procedure


3. Finalization of various numbers of ranges for material master, vendor master and all purchasing and inventory documents


4. Configuration of release procedure for purchasing document like Purchase requisition and purchase order


5. Preparation of testing document and internal testing


6. Preparation of master data templates for various object like material master, vendor master, excise master, Info-records, source list, purchase order


7. Integration testing with other module PP, SD and FI/CO


8. Preparing the cut over strategy for MM object


9. Preparing the user manual and imparting training to business process owners


10. Go-live preparation and post go live support

Support Project

1. Interaction with client through net meetings, calls & emails. Handling Tickets & Tasks and responsible for closing the same within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)


2. Responsible for troubleshooting the issues in the system and providing support


3. Executing the needed changes in configuration


4. Executing the analysis and resolution of production support calls


5. Raising Change Requests (CRs) and writing functional specifications for them


6. Preparing test data for testing CRs (Change Requests)


7. Testing CRs (Change Requests) and preparing test results


8. Carrying out regression testing


9. There will be some interaction with other modules consultants


10. Preparing test cases, test scenarios and solution documents for the issues


11. Strong knowledge in building logics to make customized reports according to business scenarios


12. Strong blueprint creation skills which support the configuration of business scenarios

Essential Skills

Job

• Must have done 2 S4HANA Implementation project


• Must have experience in GST Process.


• Experience in Procurement / Inventory Domain, External Service Management, Logistics Invoice Verification, Batch and Serial no. Management, Output Determination, Cross Module Integration, Purchasing, Pricing, Release Strategies


• Complete knowledge of India Tax Procedures in SAP MM CIN Module


• Experience working on SAP WM module


• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and critical-thinking skills are essential


• Should be organized and focused on delivering tasks within defined deadlines


• Must be dynamic, flexible and possess perseverance skills


• Proficiency in customer relationship management


• Exhibit reactiveness and constructiveness at work such as, suggesting innovative but pragmatic solutions
