Job summary

M&G plc India (M&G India) seeks a Senior Manager to lead consulting/technology projects across processes and businesses, driving transformation and value creation. You will apply Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and AI-enabled automation to deliver end-to-end improvements.

The role involves managing 2-3 consultants, engaging with UK/international stakeholders, and ensuring risk and compliance controls are embedded in delivery. A strong, cross-functional leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of minimum 9 years as a process consultant leading medium/high impact projects
• Experience working with international stakeholders, preferably from the UK
• Experience in Investments domain, migration, rationalisation of applications, technology and cloud transformation
• Bachelor’s degree; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; Microsoft cloud certifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Power Platform familiarity

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking to drive operational excellence
• Conduct process diagnostics and root cause analysis and identify improvement opportunities
• Design and implement process, operating model, automation, AI, and digital transformation solutions
• Develop process maps and Value Stream Maps to optimise workflows and reduce waste
• Analyse business data to generate insights and support decision-making
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define requirements and drive adoption
• Manage transformation projects, governance, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation
• Identify new opportunities within Process Excellence and pitch for more work
• Lead 2-3 consultants and provide coaching and mentoring

With 9 to 12 years’ experience , the Senior Manager is responsible to manage Consulting/Technology projects across processes/ businesses driving excellence through design thinking, consulting, project management etc.

The role requires to bring in best practices from the industry and provides solutions/recommendations to the client. Provide advisory services to business units, help solve issues, create value, maximise growth and improve business performance in the areas of strategy, structure, management & operations using established frameworks & methodologies

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking methodologies to solve business problems and drive operational excellence.
• Conduct process diagnostics, root cause analysis, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement process, operating model, automation, AI, and digital transformation solutions.
• Develop process maps and Value Stream Maps (VSMs) to optimise workflows and eliminate waste.
• Analyse business and operational data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define requirements, align objectives, and drive solution adoption.
• Manage transformation projects, including governance, risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation.
• Prepare executive-level reporting, presentations, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Perform benchmarking and identify industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Additional Responsibilities

• Identify new project opportunities within the business area, and proactively pitch for more work for Process Excellence as a whole, including building the consulting vertical even further

People Management and Internal initiatives

• Managing a span of 2-3 FTEs of Consultants/Associate Consultants
• Providing coaching and guidance to team members
• Train and mentor new joiners, or up-skill tenured team members
• To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise
• Compliance – understand and adhere to M&G’s Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies.

• leading medium / high impact projects

• Experience of managing projects involving Investments domain/Migration/Rationalisation of applications/Technology and Cloud transformation

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred but not required)
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Any Microsoft cloud certifications
• Investment Banking related certifications is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms/ Appian and Co-Pilot
