Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Data Scientist with 5–8 years of analytics and consulting experience to lead end-to-end ML projects from data collection to production deployment.

You will work with clients in a cloud environment (GCP preferred), build predictive models, deliver dashboards, and mentor junior team members while scoping new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years total experience in Data Science or Advanced Analytics.
• 3+ years of external client-facing consulting or professional services experience.
• 3+ years of cloud deployment experience (GCP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end ML models including deployment to production.
• Deliver advanced analytics to measure campaign performance and ROI.
• Translate ML outputs into executive-ready presentations and dashboards.
• Lead workshops with clients to map data landscapes and translate problems into structured data science tasks.
• Coach junior data scientists and analysts, providing technical leadership and code reviews.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop Machine Learning Models: End-to-end development, training, and deployment of production‑grade predictive and prescriptive models (propensity modeling, customer segmentation, demand forecasting).
• Deliver Advanced Analytics: Build advanced analytics models that measure campaign performance, predict customer behavior, and improve long‑term ROI.
• Data Storytelling & Visualisation: Translate algorithmic outcomes and ML metrics into executive‑ready presentations and dashboards that highlight business value.
• Develop and Maintain Analytics Workflows: Analyse client data and build optimized analytics datasets in cloud environments to support modelling and reporting.
• Lead workshops with external clients to uncover business objectives, map data landscapes, and translate vague problems into structured data‑science methodologies.
• Create solutions and design documentation for client data‑science architectures and ML pipelines.
• Work on projects independently and as part of a large team across multiple client engagements.
• Coach Junior Data Scientists/Analysts or other team members, providing technical leadership and code reviews.
• Develop skills on the job and via formal learning channels to stay ahead of AI/ML trends.
• Assist in pre‑sales activities by scoping new client opportunities and providing accurate work/effort estimates.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary degree (or diploma) related to Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or an IT‑related field.
• 5–8 years of total experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Management Consulting.
• 3+ years of experience in an external client‑facing consulting or professional services capacity.
• 3+ years of application, model design, and deployment experience natively within a cloud environment (GCP preferred).
• Demonstrated experience delivering advanced predictive models and advanced analytics solutions.
• Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer or Google Cloud Certified Professional Machine Learning Engineer (preferred).
