Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 L2Administrator responsible for providing advanced operational and technicalsupport for Microsoft 365 services. The role will involve troubleshootingcomplex incidents, user administration, mailbox management, Microsoft EntraID/Azure AD activities, Exchange Online and basic on-premises Exchangeadministration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Microsoft 365 Administration
- Provide L2 support forMicrosoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Onlineand OneDrive.
- Troubleshoot useraccess, authentication, licensing, mailbox and service‑related issues.
- Manage Microsoft 365users, licenses, groups and service requests.
- Analyse recurringincidents and identify permanent solutions.
- Handle escalatedincidents from L1/service desk teams.
- Maintain incident,problem and change management processes as per defined SLA.
2. Exchange Online
- Troubleshoot mailboxaccess, mail flow, delivery and authentication issues.
- Perform mailbox-relatedadministrative activities such as permissions, shared mailboxes,distribution groups and forwarding.
- Troubleshoot Outlookconnectivity and Microsoft 365 authentication issues.
- Basic understanding ofExchange Online message trace and mail‑flow troubleshooting.
- Understanding ofExchange Online policies and mailbox configurations.
- Basic administration andtroubleshooting knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- User and groupmanagement, including basic understanding of security groups and Microsoft365 groups.
- Basic knowledge ofauthentication, SSO and MFA.
- Understanding of usersign‑in and authentication‑related issues.
- Basic knowledge ofConditional Access policies and troubleshooting access issues.
- Basic understanding ofEntra ID Connect / directory synchronization.
- Ability to review basicsign‑in and audit logs for troubleshooting.
- Understanding of therelationship between on‑premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Basic administration andtroubleshooting of on‑premises Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Understanding ofExchange mailbox databases, connectors and mail flow.
- Basic knowledge ofReceive/Send Connectors and SMTP flow.
- Troubleshoot basicmailbox, Outlook and mail‑delivery issues.
- Basic understanding ofExchange hybrid environment and synchronization between on‑premisesExchange and Exchange Online.
- Coordinate withL3/Exchange specialists for complex issues.
5. Microsoft Intune – Basic to Intermediate Knowledge
- Basic administration ofMicrosoft Intune.
- Understanding of deviceenrollment and compliance.
- Basic troubleshooting ofWindows and mobile device enrollment issues.
- Knowledge ofconfiguration profiles, compliance policies and application deployment.
- Understanding of devicemanagement through Microsoft Intune.
6. Incident & Problem Management
- Handle L2 incidentswithin defined SLA and operational procedures.
- Perform detailedtroubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Escalate complex issuesto L3/engineering teams with proper troubleshooting details.
- Maintain accurateincident documentation and knowledge articles.
- Participate in majorincident and service restoration activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365administration and troubleshooting.
- Basic on‑premisesExchange Server knowledge.
- Basic Active Directoryconcepts.
- Windows 10/11troubleshooting.
- PowerShell fundamentalsfor Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of MFA, SSOand authentication concepts.
- Good understanding ofDNS, SMTP and basic networking concepts.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Microsoft365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Identityand Access Administrator Associate
- Exchange‑relatedMicrosoft certification or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical andtroubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independentlyhandle L2 technical issues.
- Good communication andstakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work in a24×7 support environment, including rotational shifts.
- Ability to work underSLA and handle high‑priority/P1 incidents.
- Good coordination withL1, L3, OEM and Microsoft support teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Technology,or a related field.
Experience
5–6 years of relevant experience in Microsoft 365administration and enterprise IT support, with hands‑on experience inExchange Online and working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD andon‑premises Exchange.
