Job summary

Northern Trust Bengaluru seeks finance professionals to review monthly fund closing summaries, prepare financial statements for funds, and interact with external auditors to ensure accuracy of annual statements. You will analyze financial data for clients and their investors, support cross‑functional teams in Hedge Fund Services, and contribute to building a high‑performance team through mentoring.

A college or university degree is preferred; ACCA qualification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes and reporting.
• Experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft is preferred.

Major Duties

• Review of monthly fund and business entity closing summaries.
• Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated to our clients and their investors.
• Close monthly books and records of the funds to general final performance figures.
• Interact with clients and other Hedge Fund Services teams to obtain understanding of funds¿ activities.
• Prepare financial statements for funds.
• Work directly with external auditors to ensure accuracy of each fund¿s annual financial statements.
• Assist in building a high-performance team through learning, development, mentoring and recruiting.
• Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
• As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
• Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.
• Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
• Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas.
