We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) team. As a Senior Consultant, you will provide objective advice, expertise, guidance, and specialist skills to achieve project targets.
Job Role
The Senior Consultant will be involved in providing objective advice, expertise, guidance, and specialist skills with the aim of achieving the project targets. The Senior Consultant will mainly work with the EY team to:
- Be part of the client engagements and lead specific work-streams
- Advise clients in designing and implementing the right sourcing model, including but not limited to shared services and outsourcing
- Assist clients through the transition journey including as-is assessment, vision development, business case development, target operating model design, sizing, location selection, performance management support, transition management, process review, and continuous improvement
- Advise clients on outsourcing deal setup best practices through RFP development, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, portfolio rationalization, benchmarking, and end of term support
- Map current processes & control systems and identify gaps and areas of improvement
- Support the Engagement Manager for activities such as engagement economics and receivables, project resources, and team utilization
- Lead the delivery / execution of high-quality deliverables and manage service quality, brand, and client expectations
- Contribute to brand development by writing articles, developing thought leadership, and point-of-views
- Contribute to knowledge development and management
- Demonstrate significant industry / solution expertise
- Assist in resolving people issues
- Support people development through guidance and feedback
- Ensure compliance to the firm’s standards, processes, and policies
- Contribute to the firm’s initiatives in enhancing market leadership & growth, quality, people agenda, and operational excellence
- Manage senior external/internal stakeholders independently
Professional Background
6 to 8 years of relevant post-MBA experience - Consulting background (preferably) or Industry background (Outsourcing Advisory/ Retained Organization Governance role/ Outsourcing Service Provider Business Development team)
Experience of executing projects in the area of outsourcing, sourcing strategy development, or Outsourcing services sales
Process redesign experience in process areas like Lead to Order (L2O), Order to Cash (O2C), Record to report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), Hire to Retire (H2R), etc.
Experience in working on finance transformation, business case analysis, and planning, Service sourcing, RfP process, Outsourcing/offshoring strategy, and setup, Shared service, or IT transformation, or Design of SLAs, process KPIs, and reporting requirements
In-depth domain knowledge of the Technology sector. Should have worked in any one or more of the following sub-sectors of the technology sector – Global capability centers or SSCs, IT Services, Engineering services, BPO, Semiconductor, Devices, Hardware, Software, Internet, and e-commerce
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in two or more of the areas listed – process transformation, business case analysis, and planning, Service sourcing, RfP process, Outsourcing/offshoring strategy, and setup, Shared service, or IT transformation, or Design of SLAs, process KPIs, and reporting requirements
- Exposure to implementation of RPA/OCR/BI/Consolidation tools
- Experience with process mapping tools like Microsoft Visio, IBM Blueworks, Celonis, etc.
- Hands-on experience with different data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI

Base Location and Travel
Bangalore/ Delhi. The consultant would be required to travel to the client location.
