Job summary

Mivada is seeking a hands-on Senior Consultant in Hyderabad to join our offshore delivery team. You will design and develop enterprise backend APIs in C# / ASP.NET Core, implement data access with EF Core and SQL Server, and ensure secure, testable, scalable services for Australian clients.

You’ll collaborate with onshore leads, mentor engineers, and champion modern CI/CD and DevOps practices. Strong communication and architectural skills are essential to success in this consulting role.

Qualifications

• Strong C# and ASP.NET Core engineering capability, including API design, database integration, testing and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure for hosting and delivery.
• Knowledge of EF Core, LINQ and SQL.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews and automated testing.
• Understanding of API authentication and authorisation, including OAuth 2.0/JWT.
• Ability to diagnose defects and SQL performance issues.
• Leading projects or epics from design through delivery.
• Mentoring engineers and lifting engineering standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills in a consulting setting.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach and strong cultural fit.
• Front-end experience with Svelte/SvelteKit, Angular or React is desirable.
• Azure DevOps pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Based in Hyderabad, India, with right to work and overlap with Australian teams.

• Supporting deployments and troubleshooting production issues using logs and monitoring.

• Mentoring engineers through code reviews and collaboration.
• Improving engineering practices, processes and standards.
• Contributing to architecture discussions and advising clients on trade-offs.
• Communicating with stakeholders and coordinating delivery across onshore and offshore teams.
• Knowledge of the non-life insurance domain is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Consultant specialising in ASP.NET development to join our offshore delivery team in Hyderabad, India. You will build and maintain enterprise web applications, backend APIs and services for Australian clients, working closely with Mivada's onshore technical leads and delivery teams.
The primary requirement is strong C# and ASP.NET Core engineering capability, including API design, database integration, testing and production troubleshooting. Azure experience supports application hosting and delivery. You will contribute to new development and ongoing application enhancements, with ownership from design through deployment and support.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building high-quality backend APIs and services using ASP.NET Core and the .NET ecosystem

• Implementing data access using Entity Framework Core, LINQ and SQL, including query tuning and database changes

• Building secure APIs with authentication, authorisation, input validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data

• Writing unit and integration tests, resolving defects, and improving application performance and reliability

• Supporting deployments and troubleshooting production issues using logs, monitoring and root-cause analysis

• Leading projects and epics from solution design through to delivery, on time and to a high standard

• Partnering with tech leads, architects and senior engineers on solution and architecture design

• Mentoring engineers through code reviews and day-to-day collaboration, lifting the team around you

• Improving engineering practices, processes and standards across your engagements

• Contributing to architecture discussions and technology choices, and advising clients on trade-offs

• Communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, documenting decisions and coordinating delivery across onshore and offshore teams

• Knowledge of the non-life insurance domain will be an added advantage.

Tech environment

• .NET / ASP.NET Core — backend APIs, services and web applications

• Microsoft Azure - application hosting and integration through App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL and Key Vault; other services as required by the project

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript and front-end frameworks where required; backend development is the primary focus

• APIs, microservices , event-driven and distributed systems

• SQL Server and PostgreSQL

• Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) where required by the project

• Domain-driven design , SOLID principles and TDD

• Azure DevOps , CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and Agile delivery

What you’ll bring

• Strong, demonstrable experience building production backend systems in C# / ASP.NET Core

• Strong knowledge of C#, object-oriented design, dependency injection, asynchronous programming and REST API development

• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ and relational databases, especially SQL Server

• Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews and automated testing using tools such as xUnit, NUnit or MSTest

• Understanding of API authentication and authorisation, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or JWT

• Ability to diagnose application defects, SQL performance issues and failures in integrated systems

• Working knowledge of deploying and supporting .NET applications on Azure; strong ASP.NET development experience is the priority

• A track record of leading projects or epics from design through delivery

• Sound grasp of microservices, event-driven and distributed system patterns

• Comfort with DDD, SOLID, TDD and modern CI/CD and DevOps practices

• Experience in mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards

• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills — you can advise, influence and bring people with you in a consulting setting

• A collaborative, low-ego approach — at Mivada, cultural fit matters as much as technical skill

• Front-end experience with Svelte / SvelteKit, Angular or React is desirable

• Experience maintaining or modernising ASP.NET MVC or .NET Framework applications is desirable

• Azure DevOps pipelines, Application Insights, Docker and messaging integrations are useful supporting skills

• Based in Hyderabad, India, with the right to work in India and availability for agreed overlap with Australian client and delivery teams
