Job summary

EPAM Systems in Chennai is seeking a Senior Collibra Engineer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data governance solutions. You will apply deep Collibra expertise to build reliable workflows, set up integrations, and guide cross-functional teams toward a mature governance framework.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years IT experience with 5–10 years in Collibra or similar platforms, strong BPMN and CI/CD skills, and excellent communication in English.

We're looking to bring a Senior Collibra Engineer onto our team, taking on a central role in architecting, building, and refining data governance solutions. In this position, you'll apply your extensive technical background in Collibra and adjacent data management tools to construct dependable workflows, lead integration efforts, and work alongside cross-functional teams to build a mature, organization-wide data governance framework.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and sustain data governance solutions leveraging the Collibra Platform and Collibra Workflow Designer
• Construct and refine workflows using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to enable governance-related processes
• Set up CI/CD pipelines to simplify the deployment and rollout of Collibra-based solutions
• Build conceptual and logical data models to strengthen enterprise-wide data governance efforts
• Connect Collibra with broader enterprise systems using integration tools such as MuleSoft and SnapLogic
• Produce and keep current thorough technical documentation within Confluence
• Handle task management, craft JQL queries on demand, and share saved filters and views in Jira for use by engineers and senior stakeholders
• Work within an Agile team structure to deliver incremental features and enhancements
• Operate independently with minimal oversight while maintaining strong collaboration with teams across different functions
• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges using sound analytical and problem-solving approaches

Requirements

• Between 8 and 12 years of overall IT experience, including 5 to 10 years specifically working with Collibra or comparable data governance/management platforms
• A technical degree supporting relevant professional experience
• Strong command of the Collibra Platform, Collibra Workflow Designer, and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
• Skilled in CI/CD methodologies and associated tooling
• Background in building conceptual and logical data models
• Familiarity with integration platforms, including MuleSoft and SnapLogic
• Capability in Jira, including the ability to construct JQL queries quickly and save filters, queries, and views for broader distribution
• Experience producing and sustaining documentation using Confluence
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, ideally having spent multiple years embedded within an Agile team
• Strong analytical thinking, sharp focus, and effective problem-solving abilities, with comfort working autonomously
• Team-oriented approach paired with strong communication skills
• English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher
