Job summary

Noventiq India, Ltd. in Mumbai seeks an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage Linux/Windows servers, ensure OS boot integrity, and perform kernel updates. The role centers on AWS-based infrastructure, scripting, and proactive problem resolution.

The candidate will manage web/app servers, databases, logging, backups, and SOP documentation, delivering reliable, secure IT operations in a fast-paced Mumbai environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience of Windows/Linux Administration.
• At least 4+ years of experience on AWS.
• Have worked on automations using AWS and third‑party tools.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in server administration on Linux and/or Windows.
• Setting up of remote/centralized Syslog service and configuration of log rotation.
• Experience on middleware (Apache, Nginx, IIS) and application servers (Tomcat, JBoss).
• Understanding of database servers (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle) and basic SQL queries.
• Logging, backup options and SOP documentation.

1. Extensive experience in server administration on Linux and/or Windows.
   • Understanding of OS boot process
   • Experience on Kernel updates and troubleshooting
   • Network and routing configuration at OS level
   • OS hardening
   • Filesystem and User administration
   • Object (Files and directories) level and user level permission configurations
   • Experience on Shell is mandatory
   • Experience on Python scripts is preferred
   • Troubleshooting of OS level issues
   • Setting up of remote/centralized Syslog service and configuration of log rotation
2. Experience on middleware
   • Understanding of architecture and flow of web applications
   • Experience on web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS) and application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)

   • Basic understanding of RDMBS and SQL queries
   • Experience on installation and configuration of database servers (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle)
4. Understanding of General IT concepts
   • Logging and log management

   • Networking concepts, i.e. IP addressing, subnetting, network topologies in LAN and WAN. VPN concepts and configurations
