Job Summary:

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This role involves working across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automating deployments, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance and performance across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Manage compute, storage, and networking resources in cloud environments.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
  • Automation & DevOps:
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and patching using Python, Groovy, or Shell scripts.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Administer IAM policies and enforce cloud governance standards.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., ITIL, ISO, SOC2).
  • Monitor cloud environments using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.
  • Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Cost Optimization & FinOps:
  • Apply FinOps practices to monitor and optimize cloud spend.
  • Use resource tagging and reporting tools to manage budgets effectively.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (GCP preferred in some roles).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Groovy).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of networking, IAM, and cloud security.
Preferred Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
  • ITIL, TOGAF, or PMP (for enterprise environments)
