Job summary

Strong Civil Engineering background with hands-on Revit/BIM experience.
Experience modelling, documentation and multidisciplinary coordination in BIM.

Familiarity with LOD requirements and BIM QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities

Develop and review BIM models using Revit for architectural, structural, and civil scopes.
Prepare Civil 3D drawings and manage site/road infrastructure layouts.
Review land survey data and translate survey inputs into CAD/Civil 3D drawings.
Assess client inputs, clarify requirements, and define workflows.
Guide junior engineers and perform QA/QC of BIM deliverables.

Job description

Zealwise is looking for an experienced Senior Civil & BIM Engineer to strengthen our growing capabilities across Architectural & Structural BIM, Civil Engineering, Civil 3D, Land Survey and Infrastructure services.

The ideal candidate should have a strong Civil Engineering background combined with hands-on Autodesk Revit/BIM experience, particularly in Architectural and/or Structural modelling, documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.

The candidate should also have practical understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Land/Topographical Survey data and Civil/Infrastructure drawings.

Experience with Autodesk Advance Steel, Tekla Structures, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Point Cloud/Scan-to-BIM or GIS workflows will be considered an added advantage.

The position requires a technically capable engineer who can not only execute projects but also review new client enquiries, understand project inputs, identify missing information, determine technical workflows, guide junior resources and perform QA/QC.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revit & BIM Primary Focus

Develop and review Architectural and Structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
Create BIM models from CAD drawings, PDFs, sketches, client mark-ups, point clouds and other available project inputs.
Prepare and review:
Floor plans
Elevations
Sections
Details
Schedules
Sheets and construction documentation
Understand and work according to project-specific LOD requirements.
Coordinate Architectural, Structural and Civil information within BIM models.
Review model accuracy, completeness and constructability.
Identify modelling and coordination issues before project delivery.
Manage Revit links, worksets, coordinates and model organisation.
Understand Revit families, parameters, templates and project standards.
Support BIM model QA/QC and model health checks.
Guide junior Revit/BIM resources during project execution.

2. Civil Engineering & Civil 3D

Prepare and review Civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
Work with:
Existing site plans
Site development drawings
Grading plans
Road layouts
Drainage layouts
Utility drawings
Civil infrastructure drawings
Develop/review Civil 3D:
Surfaces
Contours
Alignments
Profiles
Grading
Basic corridor/utility information where applicable
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and client standards.

3. Land & Topographical Survey

Review and interpret Land Survey and Topographical Survey data.
Understand:
Survey coordinates
Levels / elevations
Contours
Site features
Survey points
Coordinate systems
Prepare survey-based CAD/Civil 3D drawings.
Understand data generated from Total Station and GPS/GNSS surveys.
Experience with Underground Utility Survey drawings will be an advantage.
Review survey inputs and identify missing/inconsistent information before project execution.

4. Client Input & Feasibility Review

The candidate should be capable of reviewing new enquiries received from international clients.

Responsibilities include:

Review client RFQs, sample files and project inputs.
Understand project scope and expected deliverables.
Review CAD, Revit, Civil 3D, PDF, survey and point-cloud inputs.
Identify missing project information.
Prepare technical clarification points/questions.
Determine appropriate software and project workflow.
Support effort and timeline estimation.
Identify required skills/resources for project execution.
Highlight technical risks before project commencement.
Support the Engineering and Business Development teams during technical evaluation of new opportunities.

5. Team Guidance & QA/QC

Guide junior Civil, CAD and BIM engineers.
Allocate/coordinate technical activities where required.
Review drawings and BIM models prepared by team members.
Perform project-level QA/QC.
Ensure compliance with client standards.
Support development of internal:
BIM standards
Civil drafting standards
Templates
Checklists
SOPs
QA/QC procedures
Support technical training and knowledge development within the Engineering team.
