Job summary

DEME Group is seeking an experienced Senior Civil 3D Engineer to lead the development, management and review of complex Autodesk Civil 3D models for large-scale infrastructure and construction projects. You will transform tender and client requirements into practical 3D design solutions and support project teams with technical expertise in modeling, quantities, constructability and visualization.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
• Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D with experience on complex projects
• Advanced experience with 3D CAD environments and modeling
• Strong ability to review design input, run volume calculations, and ensure deliverables are accurate

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and manage complex Autodesk Civil 3D models using alignments, subassemblies, corridors and surfaces
• Translate tender, client and engineering requirements into practical 3D design approaches
• Perform and document complex volume calculations and ensure clarity of results
• Develop drawings, cross-sections and sequence drawings for tender design and execution
• Advise teams on Civil 3D modelling, constructability, quantities and visualization
• Own the quality and consistency of Civil 3D deliverables
• Identify modelling challenges early and propose practical solutions
• Review models and mentor others in technical guidance
• Contribute to standardization of Civil 3D workflows, templates and methods
• Explore automation and integration with other design tools
• Coach less experienced engineers and share knowledge within the team
• Experience with other Autodesk AECO software is advantageous
• Experience in a structured BIM/data management environment

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil 3D Engineer with 5-15 years of experience to lead the development, management, and review of complex Autodesk Civil 3D models for large-scale engineering, infrastructure, and construction projects. The role involves transforming tender, client, and engineering requirements into practical 3D design solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and supporting project teams with technical expertise in modeling, quantities, constructability, and visualization.

Your responsibilities

• Independently develop and manage complex Autodesk Civil 3D models, using alignments, subassemblies, assemblies, corridors and surfaces.
• Translate tender, client and engineering requirements into efficient and practical modelling approaches.
• Perform and review complex volume calculations and ensure that results are clearly documented and communicated.
• Develop drawings, cross-sections and sequence drawings to support tender design and project execution.
• Advise tender and project teams on Civil 3D modelling, constructability, quantities and visualization.
• Take ownership of the quality and consistency of Civil 3D deliverables.
• Identify modelling challenges at an early stage and proactively develop practical solutions.
• Review models and deliverables prepared by other team members and provide technical guidance where needed.
• Contribute to the development and standardization of Civil 3D workflows, templates and working methods within DDC.
• Explore opportunities for automation and integration with other digital design and construction tools.
• Coach and support less experienced Civil 3D engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Knowledge of other Autodesk software within the AECO sector is an advantage
• Experience working in a structured BIM/data management environment.

Your profile

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent level based on work experience.
• 5–15 years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, with demonstrated experience applying it to complex engineering projects.
• Advanced experience working with 3D CAD environments.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to critically review design input and modelling assumptions.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of complex assignments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an open mindset towards concept engineering and alternative solutions.
• Able to communicate effectively with engineers, tender teams and other project stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve workflows and deliverables.
• Comfortable guiding and sharing knowledge with less experienced colleagues.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience with concept engineering is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Forma, C#, AI, Visual Studio is an advantage.
• Knowledge of other Autodesk software within the AECO sector is an advantage
• Experience working in a structured BIM / data management environment.
