Job summary

Capgemini India seeks an experienced Camunda 8 & API Orchestration senior developer to drive the design and implementation of enterprise workflow automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Camunda 8 (Zeebe), BPMN-based orchestration, API integration, and cloud-native microservices architectures, with 8–13 years of experience. Location includes Pune and Hyderabad, and the role involves leading end-to-end design and development of workflow solutions.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in workflow automation or BPM development, with at least 2+ years in Camunda 8
• Expertise in BPMN-based orchestration, decision modeling (DMN), and Camunda 8 worker implementation
• Strong background in API development using Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js, including API lifecycle management
• Experience designing resilient, event-driven workflows in microservices environments
• Proficient in working with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
• Experience with Camunda Operate, Tasklist, Connectors, and Optimize
• Solid understanding of integration patterns, retries, compensation, and message correlation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of Camunda 8-based workflows using BPMN, DMN, and FEEL
• Architect and develop API-driven orchestration logic, integrating with internal/external services
• Build and manage Camunda external task workers using Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js
• Collaborate with platform teams and stakeholders to refine models into executable workflows
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance guidelines
• Mentor junior developers and establish best practices for workflow automation and event handling
• Support deployment, observability, and performance tuning for Camunda 8 components
• Contribute to Agile planning, reviews, and retrospectives; provide technical leadership across sprints

Experience : 8 years to 13 years

Location : Pune and Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of Camunda 8-based workflows using BPMN, DMN, and FEEL
• Architect and develop API-driven orchestration logic, integrating with internal/external services
• Build and manage Camunda external task workers using Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js

• Ensure implementation aligns with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance guidelines

Required Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with OAuth2, API Gateway, and secure service integration
• Exposure to enterprise orchestration in financial services, ideally within HSBC
• Exposure to AWS services (e.g., SNS/SQS, Lambda, EventBridge) and deploying workflows in cloud-native setups
• Camunda Certification or equivalent BPM-related credentials is a plus
