Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Buyer in India to manage RFQ preparation, vendor communication, and bid evaluations for energy projects. You will coordinate commercial and technical queries, assist with change orders, and work with senior teams to finalize purchases.

The role requires 12-20 years of industry experience in hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, or oil and gas, with ERP and MS Office proficiency. Bachelor's or Diploma in engineering is preferred. This is an on-site position in Maharashtra.

The Role

As a Senior Buyer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Preparation of Request for Quotation / Enquiry.
• Floating of RFQ / Enquiry to listed vendors.
• Follow up for Bid Acknowledgment & Offers from Vendors.
• Discussion & resolution of Commercial queries in consultation with Seniors.
• Communication & Coordination for resolution of Technical queries.
• Preparation of Techno-commercial bid evaluation.
• Preparation of Commercial bid evaluation / Recommendation for Award(RFA).
• Preparation of Purchase Order.
• Discussion and resolution of change requirements in consultation with Seniors.
• Preparation of Change Orders.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Functional Experience

  • Understanding on Commercial Terms & Conditions.
  • Exposure in ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
• Industry Experience,.
  • Experience : 12- 20 yrs.
  • Hydrocarbon, Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refinery, EPC, EPCM.

• Education
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) - Mech, Civil, Chemical, E&I OR Diploma in Engineering - Mech, Civil, Chemical, E&I or PG Diploma in Material Management or equivalent is an added advantage.
