Kinaxis Chennai, India, is hiring a ServiceNow Developer to join the IT Application Excellence team. You will design, develop, test and enhance ServiceNow, drive upgrades, and collaborate with architects, analysts and developers to deliver scalable IT solutions.

You will own integrations with Jira, DataDog, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce and Prometheus, implement API-driven changes, and support governance, testing and documentation in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of ServiceNow development and administration across ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SPM, and Employee Center Pro.
• Experience with integrations between ServiceNow and Jira, DataDog, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce, Prometheus; API exposure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation of ServiceNow projects, including enhancements, integrations, fixes, and features, in collaboration with business SMEs and team members.
• Lead the technical domain of ServiceNow Release Upgrades, coordinating activities, timelines, and required steps.
• Participate in system testing, configuring, automating, documenting, and executing test cases and scripts; identify and resolve defects.
• Design, develop, and document solutions on new platforms and applications; support testing of new features.

About the team

The ServiceNow Developer is part of the IT Application Excellence team within Corporate IT. The role focuses on supporting the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow and related systems and integrations.

Working with developers, business analysts, and solution architects, the incumbent contributes to the development of user experiences and digital solutions to address business needs within the ServiceNow platform.

The incumbent helps ensure that business applications meet compliance requirements and provides efficient support and enhancement of business applications within Corporate IT.

What you will do

• Responsible for the implementation of ServiceNow projects, including enhancements, integrations, fixes, and features, in collaboration with business SMEs, and team members within Solution Architecture and Business Analysis.
• Lead the technical domain of ServiceNow Release Upgrades, including coordination of activities, timelines, and required steps. Leads discussions, identifies trade-offs and potential pitfalls in design and implementation.
• Participate in system testing, including configuring, automating, documenting, and performing test cases and test scripts to identify and correct issues or to verify desired functionality. Proactivelyidentifiesbugs; discoveringopportunities to enableearlyandeffective detection. Logs defects, provides explanations for product behavior, and resolves moderate to complex defects.
• Design, develop, and document solutions on new platforms and applications, and support the testing of new features and capabilities on existing applications and platforms, providing best practices and analysis to the rest of the team.
• Contribute to code reviews, adopting and documenting code and configuration management best practices. Reviews code from other developers, providing feedback and guidance.
• Work in collaboration with your team to deliver projects on Agile methodology.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert on some of the ServiceNow Modules such as:
  • HR Service Delivery
  • Employee Center Pro
  • IT Service Management
  • IT Operations Management
  • Strategic Portfolio Management
• Works on complex initiatives, applying technical judgment on application design, coding standards, software development lifecycle practices, and platform engineering approaches.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including change management expertise and the ability to translate complex, technical requirements for a non-technical audience.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively to prioritize business requirements.
• Ability to anticipate technical implications of decisions on platforms and applications, and support solution planning.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy considerations in systems.

Role Specific Skills and experience

• • Experience consuming and/or creating APIs
  • Experience in designing, configuring, supporting, testing, and implementing enhancements as well as supporting maintenance items for various business applications.
  • Experience developing test cases and performing all levels of testing and defect management.
  • Experience with system/data integration.
  • Experience working with ITOM/CMDB is an asset
  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, PHP, Microsoft.net framework, RESTful and SOAP based API web services and authentication protocols and technologies.
  • Experience in Web programming (HTML5, Java script/jQuery, JSON, XML, CSS etc.).
  • Experience with SQL server / MySQL, developing stored procedures, complex queries, optimizing queries, and designing databases.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols and technologies such as OAuth, SAML, open ID .
  • Expertise developing on specific application platforms supported by the team.
