Job summary

Mizuho Pune is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in US Payments, Core Banking, Financial Messaging, and Banking Platform Modernization. You will partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to define platform vision, future-state capabilities, target operating models, and business requirements supporting the bank's transformation agenda.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of Business Analysis experience within Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong expertise in CHIPS, ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022 and related payments ecosystems.
• Experience with platform modernization, cloud, and legacy migration.
• Hands-on SQL, advanced Excel, and data visualization with Power BI.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define platform strategy, roadmap, and future-state capabilities with stakeholders.
• Gather requirements, map processes, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
• Analyze end-to-end payment lifecycles across major networks and ISO 20022.
• Support modernization, cloud transformation, and platform migrations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and architecture teams to align with objectives.
• Support UAT planning, release readiness, and change management.
• Leverage data analysis to identify insights, risks, and opportunities.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in US Payments, Core Banking, Financial Messaging, and Banking Platform Modernization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge of Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022, Treasury Operations, and Payment Processing Platforms and have experience working on large-scale modernization initiatives involving legacy and strategic banking platforms.

This role will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Architects, and Engineering teams to define platform vision, future-state capabilities, target operating models, and business requirements supporting the bank's transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Product Owners and business leaders to define platform strategy, roadmap, and future-state capabilities.
• Drive requirements gathering, business process analysis, process mapping, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze end-to-end payment lifecycles across Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 ecosystems.
• Support modernization, platform migration, cloud transformation, and legacy application rationalization initiatives.
• Understand existing application architecture, infrastructure dependencies, integrations, interfaces, middleware, and operational workflows.
• Evaluate current-state vs future-state solutions and recommend process and technology improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and architecture teams to ensure business requirements align with strategic objectives.
• Support UAT planning, release readiness, business sign-off, and change management activities.
• Leverage data analysis and reporting to identify business insights, trends, operational risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Utilize modern productivity tools, including AI-assisted analysis and documentation tools, to improve delivery efficiency.
